About This Spot

Stepping into Tide Tables Cafe is like finding a quiet refuge woven into the riverside tapestry of Richmond. Tucked beneath the graceful arch of Richmond Bridge, the café embraces a relaxed, unhurried rhythm where the gentle flow of the Thames sets a peaceful tempo. Here, locals and wanderers alike gather to settle into the natural calm, whether it’s with a warm cup in hand or a shared bite at the rustic wooden tables stretching outdoors.

The atmosphere is quietly convivial—a mix of familiar faces cycling by, dog owners exchanging friendly nods, and occasional visitors drawn by the charm of old trees bending toward the water. Inside, the space welcomes with a cozy touch, soft enough to encourage lingering but lively enough to feel connected to the pulse of the riverside community.

The café’s offerings reflect the easygoing spirit of the place, with everything from comforting pastries and inventive vegetarian rolls to vibrant vegan plates that complement the softly buzzing conversation. The menu invites you to pause and savor small moments: an oat flat white crafted with care, a slice of coffee cake that pairs well with the morning light, or a refreshing beetroot latte to brighten a riverside afternoon. Seasonal salads, hearty mains, and light snacks create a sense of thoughtful variety without overshadowing the simplicity that makes Tide Tables feel like a second home.

With ample seating outside, it’s a perfect stop for those wanting to soak up the view—ancient trees draping over the water, boats gently passing, and the subtle buzz of Richmond life unfolding. Whether you’re here to rest after a river walk, catch up with friends over a local craft beer, or simply watch the world go by, Tide Tables Cafe offers a quiet invitation to slow down and enjoy the moment.

Amazing view. Old trees with lots of seating near the Thames. The falafel wasn't fresh. They have a few gluten free options. The panini was tasty and good size. The salads were nice as gf options. Some tasty local craft beers. Very friendly staff.

Very nice of tea for two and some rocky road type of cake. Kids had a slice of pizza which they were happy with. Wide range of soft drinks. It had outside tables, but we ate in as we'd been on the river already. Prices seemed pretty reasonable for location. Toilet has a code to prevent people wandering in and using it. Seemed to be dog friendly from the amount of pooches going in

Tide Tables Café is an absolute treasure in Richmond! Tucked right under the bridge, it’s the perfect spot to grab a coffee, enjoy something delicious, and soak up the riverside vibes. The atmosphere is always warm and welcoming, with a great mix of locals, cyclists, and dog walkers stopping by. On a sunny day, there’s nothing better than sitting outside, stretching your legs, and watching the boats drift by. Their menu is packed with tasty vegetarian and vegan options, and everything feels fresh and thoughtfully made. Whether you’re catching up with friends, taking a quiet moment for yourself, or just passing through, this place always delivers. A definite favorite!

Great cafe tucked under the Richmond Bridge with a beautiful scenic view of the river and the old three. Had a nice flat white and a spinach feta pastry which was delicious. Excellent vegetarian options both sweet and savoury. Plenty of outdoor seating tables for reading with the coffee or just simply people watching by the river.

It's a lovely spot to relax and take in the beautiful view with a cup of coffee.

Great location next/under Richmond Bridge. Quick service and a large space for outdoors eating ( thers aldo indoor seating). It was nice that one of the staff came outside offering to add more tables for our 16 strong cycling group. The cake selections are a little expensive, and you can also get salads made up.
